The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 has finally getting a price cut when the Samsung Galaxy S 4 is just around the corner from RM2,299 to RM1,999, RM300 cheaper. DiGi now revised the phone bundle plan with Galaxy Note 2 as low as RM1,259 after rebates.

There will be 3 plans to be bundle with Galaxy Note 2 which are DG Smart Plan 58, DG Smart Plan 88, and DG Smart Special with 24 months contract. There will be rebate of RM10/month for 24months for DG Smart Plan 58, RM20/month for 24months for DG Smart Plan 88.  If you’re DiGi postpaid customer for over 12 months, you are eligible for waiving the advance payment.

Earlier this year, Samsung has introduced Samsung Galaxy Beam, an Android  SmartPhone with built-in projector support. Now, the device has entered Malaysia, retailed at the price of RM1,599.

Google Play now welcome new countries for app selling

According to Android Developers, Google Play is now open for new app sellers from other countries. The invited foreign countries are  Czech Republic, Israel, Mexico, and Poland. This allows the foreign sellers to sell their apps on Google Play and receive payment via local bank accounts.

Google Maps 6.0 gives Indoor navigation on Android

Google has just released the newest version of Google Map, 6.0 for Android. It brings the new feature of indoor navigation which allows you to find your way around malls, airports, IKEAs and others.

It also said to be able to detect which floor of the building you are and the map will adjust according to the floor you in, so you will get to see what is around you. According to the developers, the location algorithm is finely tuned, it should be working well indoors and outdoors.

For the time being, it’s still new and its not available in many places. Here is the list of retailers, airports and transit stations in the U.S. and Japan:

  • Mall of America, IKEA, The Home Depot, select Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s, Daimaru, Taskashimaya and Mitsukoshi locations and more.
  • Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), Chicago O’Hare (ORD), San Francisco International Airport (SFO) and Narita International (NRT), among others.
  • JR and Tokyu Corporation

Voice Input in Android 4.0 ICS supports Malay Language (Bahasa Malaysia)

The Voice input function has been introduces for quite some time in Android platform. Many of us never fully utilized it as it doesn’t support all the language in the world. However, things might change soon in Malaysia, as the Voice Input in Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) will be supporting Malay Language (Bahasa Melayu).

This has been identified by Zulkiffli from Melayubuntu, where he had tested the voice input through his device which is on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Through what is shown above, it gives the right input and is compatible with what he said in Malay Language.

By introducing Malay language support, most likely the local developers will take advantage of this and develop something that is local friendly.
